You know, every time I tell someone that The Girl's birthday is Christmas Eve they invariably say 'oh what a shame' or imply that she is being cheated out of a proper birthday. But do you know what? I think it's totally the opposite. Everyone is winding up for festivities anyway, so we are ready to celebrate anything and there is such a magical quality to the days. Any other time of the year, I think it is more of an effort.
I just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. And if it's your birthday in these same weeks, well Happy Birthday!
