Making Pitta Breads

On Friday, we made pitta breads and chicken kebabs. The group was smaller than usual because of Clay Day in the Art Department. And everyone that was in the lesson had their ingredients. It made for a really nice time.

The real skill in making pitta bread is controlling the heat of the grill and not burning the pitta breads before they are cooked. Most managed well.

I asked the pupils to marinate the chicken the night before in lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and their choice of herbs and spices. The pupils have never made something like chicken kebabs before, and therefore the easiest task ended up more challenging for them. Mainly because they couldn't believe that it was that easy.

But all turned out well and we all ate well. mmmm.
