bread and dripping

It's roast chicken dripping (fat and jelly) on home made sourdough toast, topped with watercress. OMG, it was really good.  Highly recommend it.  Having a lovely holiday break. The second birthday cake was chocolate with cherry jam in the middle. The Girl made a trifle yesterday and it was devoured. Venison steaks for Christmas dinner (something from the freezer for the vegetarian kids) and of course the shortbread.  Cheesy potato cakes tonight with a home made chicken broth.  I received a Broons' Cookbook for Christmas and it's looking like a Hogmanay Steak Pie for the New Year's meal.
