I am really excited about this month's Is My Blog Burning competition, hosted by Simply recipes http://www.elise.com. I had a few different ideas, but I wanted to tie it in with a project at school. One of the projects is to look at different possible fillings for cookies products. And I REALLY wanted to know how to make marshmallow fluff! We had a great time.
So this is how I made it. I found lots of different recipes on the net but I thought this was the most reasonable for quick results
1 sachet of unflavoured gelatin
140 g of liquid glucose (we don't have corn syrup over here)
2/3 cup of granulated sugar
red food colouring (the possibilities for colours and added flavours is very intriguing)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/3 cup of water ( a little extra if you want it to be spreadable)
I dissolved the gelatin in the water for 5 minutes, added the sugar and heated it to boiling. The glucose, colour and flavouring waiting in the mixer with the balloon whisk. Pour the gelatin mixture in and whisk for about 10 minutes.
And this is the marvelous results!
The kids made American style cookies, tollhouse if you're wondering. I've got a recipe from the company with British measurements, if anyone wants it, I'll post it.
Back to the cookies. They filled the cookies with the marshmallow fluff and buttercream icing and then drizzled milk chocolate and white chocolate over them. Terrific results and we all felt a bit ill at the end. But I will be making more marshmallow fluff!

do u have wagon wheels in Engalnd? this reminds me of them. My friend is a wagon wheels fien, I can make some homemade ones for his bday! yay!
I was wondering how much gelatine is in a sachet as my gelatine comes in tins?

Thanks for your comment. I've had a quick check and a sachet is 12g, enough to set 1 pint of liquid.
